Chair Fowlks moved to confirm the appointment of Tracey Murphy as Town Planner for a term ending June 30, 2025, effective June 1, 2022, or such earlier date as may be agreed to. Seconded by Member Campbell. Discussion: Interim Town Administrator Terenzini stated that there is some question as to whether the Town can enter into a contract with a Town Planner. There are two sets of rules in play: one is statutory for the Treasurer/Collector, etc., and the second is for employment agreements ("contracts") such as for the Director of Public Works. There is a clause in the DPW contract which makes it subject to appropriation. This clause addresses the statutory item. Approved: 5-0 by Roll Call Campbell "aye," Markiewicz "aye," Lipari "aye," Fox "aye," and Fowlks "aye."
